Bizu Patisserie at One Rockwell Opens + Bizu Christmas Collection Now Available + 2013 Macarons de Paris Previewed

Makati City, Metro Manila, Philippines 2012-11-29 (Thursday) --
Today is an exciting day for foodies in Metro Manila as Bizu releases three treats intended to make for a very Bizu Christmas.

Bizu Patisserie at One Rockwell is now open. The wish of a great deal of Bizu Fans is fulfilled today, as Bizu Patisserie is now open at the ground floor of the prestigious One Rockwell Tower at Rockwell Center. The store will be the first branch to roll out Bizu’s updated menu inspired by its ethos of bringing “a taste of joie de vivre” with every product it serves. Exciting new French cuisine offerings combined with Bizu favorites, such as its 10-Hour Roast Beef, will surely make dining at Bizu Patisserie an even more exquisite experience. The Rockwell branch also features a charming private dining room nicknamed “Chambrè de Saint Germain” (named after the patron saint of Paris) and Bizu’s updated restaurant look.

Bizu’s 2012 Christmas Collection is now available. Bizu traditionally honors Christmas through a collection featuring Bizu favorites and limited edition product offerings available only during the Christmas season.  This year’s Christmas Collection was inspired by The Nutcracker ballet and is called “Land of Sweets: Bizu Christmas Collection 2012”. Bizu also teamed up with Designer Mehdi Singh to form unique Christmas dressings for all its stores and packaging. Doilies make for a warm graphic signature, reminding us all of the finest Christmas pastries and dishes served in households filled with happiness. Animated characters from The Nutcracker Ballet inspire a festive and joyful mood.

The collection itself features a wide selection of fine foods from Bizu that could be purchased for one’s personal enjoyment or as gifts or as your potluck contribution to a Christmas gathering. Bizu favorites such as Fine Cakes, Macarons de Paris, Roasts, Terrines, Jams, Savoury Spreads, Teas (made for Bizu by Compagnie Coloniale), Chocolate Truffles, Revel Bars, Cookies, Tarts, and Breads are on-hand to bring joy.

These offerings are made special with limited-edition items, available only this Christmas, such as Bizu Fruit Cake (made with Valhrona Chocolate, Pecans and Cherries), Panettone (the much loved Italian sweet bread that is enjoyed like a cake on Christmas and New Year’s), Speculoos (a limited edition Macarons de Paris shaped like a snowman and inspire by the Dutch Christmas treat Speculoos), Tuile (thin curved cookies made with almonds), Bizu’s Gaspard (a unique personal sized financier cake topped with a round croquantine filled with Chocolate Gianduja Cremeaux), Bizu’s Melchor Croquembouche (cream puffs assembled into a stunning tower arrangement) and, of course, excellent Roasts for Christmas dinner and parties such as Bizu’s 10 Hour Roast Beef, Yuletide Crown Roast of Pork, Whole Roast Turkey and  24 Hour Côte de Boeuf.

Orders can be placed through any branch of Bizu Patisserie; print catalogs are on hand to help you make your selection. You can also visit BizuChristmas.com or Facebook.com/ILoveBizu to view the online version of the catalog at your convenience and place an order through our concierge.

Bizu’s 2013 Macarons de Paris Coming Soon. As an added treat to all, Bizu is previewing its 2013 Macarons Collection in all its branches. Flavors such as Rose Lychee, Hazelnut and Truffle and Dark Chocolate herald the arrival of a refined selection that make for the very best Macarons in town. Preparations for Bizu Macaron Day 2013 are also in full swing. Bizu first brought this worldwide tradition, initiated by celebrated chef Pierre Herme, to the Philippines with proceeds of its Macarons Sales towards the wonderful efforts of the charity organization Virlanie. Bizu’s Macarons de Paris has long been a favourite, even a must, for Bizu Fans. With 2013 on the horizon, Bizu is committed to giving its fans and foodies nationwide the very best Macaron experience.

At the launch event held in Bizu One Rockwell held today, Bizu Groupe Founder and CEO Annie Tanco said: “Every holiday is a wonderful opportunity to make special memories; And, for families and friends in The Philippines who come together this season, those special memories are often anchored on great food shared with each other.  We are mindful of this and want Bizu to help make those special memories. Bizu is passionate about bringing a taste of Joie de Vivre, the sweet joy of living, to every occasion and every one. We invite everyone looking to make their Christmas a truly merry one to come see us at any of the Bizu Patisseries near you, or even BizuChristmas.com, to see how we can help you bring Joie De Vivre to your Christmas!”
